Object oriented programming
was invented in Norway by Ole-Johan Dahl
and Kristen Nygaard in the 1960s. OOP is
the "state of the art" way of developing modern
software.
C++
was made by Bjarne Stroustrup from Denmark in 1979.
C++ is one of the most famous programming languages
and is the ancestor of highly popular languages such
as Java and C#.
Linux
was made by Linus Thorvalds from Finland in 1991.
Linux is one of few - perhaps the only operating system -
which can challenge Microsoft Windows.
MySql
was made in Sweden in 1996 by David Axmark and
Michael Widenius. MySQL is the world's most popular
open source database software.
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)
was invented by Håkon Wium Lie from Norway in 1994.
CSS is used to describe the look and formatting of web pages.
